Job Description
Join our team as an Upstream Process Development Technician in West Point, PA, where you'll support bioreactor operations and execute bench-scale processes. Candidates with fermentation experience, familiarity with small-scale bioreactors, and strong attention to detail and organizational skills will thrive in this role.
Employee Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for bioreactor operations and execute bench-scale bioreactor processes
- Perform basic laboratory techniques, including aseptic expansion of mammalian cell culture and routine analytical procedures on cell culture samples
- Monitor bioreactor daily, maintaining thorough records of cell culture parameters and results in data sheets and/or electronic notebooks
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy while demonstrating understanding of cell culture parameters (growth rate, density, viability, metabolite consumption, and waste production)
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in a science-related field and 1-2 years of experience OR
- MS in a science-related field with 0-1 years of experience
- Strong organizational skills and Attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
- Previous fermentation experience
- Experience with small scale bioreactors
- Experience with ambr250
- Experience with media development
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and carry a positive attitude

Position is full-time, onsite Monday- Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, position is located in West Point, PA. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
