What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager/Design Consultant (1056 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL) position at Euroluxe Interiors LLC?
We are a small, design studio showroom, looking to fill an open position for an Associate Designer. Located in the Lakeview neighborhood, we have a 3000SF showroom where we represent a range of Italian brands including kitchen & bath cabinetry, closet & wardrobe systems, library & media, and furniture & lighting. Our work is primarily focused on residential spaces for which we provide design solutions featuring our product brands. Your primary responsibilities would begin with modeling design solutions in Google SketchUp for client presentations along with site measures and technical drawings for order placement and installation under the supervision of our lead designer.
The scope of our brand partners is quite wide so product training will be provided in-house to bring you up to speed with our showroom’s offering. In addition, you will be included in customer design meetings. As you grow in your mastery of our product lines and their implementation, you will be given opportunities to manage customer projects and orders on your own including customer care, handling, and sales in the showroom day to day. Our goal is to equip you with product knowledge and a kit of parts so that you can exercise your design skill set with increasing autonomy and project ownership to create beautiful solutions for our customers and clients.
Our social media presence is often neglected so this would be another potential aspect of your role if you would be interested in stepping in to develop and shepherd this facet of the company.
Because the studio is small, collaboration is essential and you will have a chance to wear many hats and actively participate with the development and growth if you would like to jump in. Tenacity, drive, and perseverance are valued. We are an open book and are happy to download our past successes and failures in hopes of creating an environment to grow you as a designer.
