About the Job
This role involves constructing millwork walls, cabinets, countertops, various wood trims, and other specialty items using high-quality materials and equipment. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Constructing millwork walls, cabinets, countertops, various wood trims, and other specialty items using table saws, hand routers, belt sanders, and cut off saws.
- Setting up and safely operating a variety of woodworking equipment to surface, cut, and shape lumber.
- Verifying dimensions to blue prints / schematics to check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Fabricating solid surface material (i.e. Corian).
- Applying plastic laminate and veneer to flat and radius vertical surfaces.
- Attaching parts or sub-assemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps making sure that the joints are tight.
- Trimming, sanding, or scraping surfaces or joints to prepare articles for finishing.
- Boring holes for insertion of screws or dowels, by hand or using boring machines.
- Installing hardware, such as hinges, handles, catches, or drawer pulls, using hand tools.
- Properly packing finished cabinets and counter tops for shipment.
