Director of Finance - Real Estate

The Rancon Group, founded in 1971, is a premier real estate development company headquartered in Murrieta California and the Temecula Wine Country. The company is seeking to hire a dynamic individual to be its Director of Finance and assist in support of its mission to provide superior value and performance in the markets in which it operates. Its focus is on real estate investment partnerships and the development and operation of income producing properties. Rancon’s portfolio currently consists of office buildings, self-storage facilities and its signature property, the “Europa Village Winery and Resort”. It is aggressive in seeking to expand its holdings.

The Director of Finance must present demonstrated specific skills and experience including, but not limited to:

· A minimum of BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Real Estate Development. An MBA in finance and/or Real Estate experience is highly preferred.

· High proficiency in financial modeling techniques and strong fluency with Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas and data management. Strong ability to use and integrate other software tools including Oracle Financial Cloud, MS Office and others.

· A minimum of 7 years experience in financial forecasting, modeling, accounting, inventory management, reporting and the tracking of operational metrics, with a minimum of 3 years as a department head or equivalent.

· The ability of solve problems, make recommendations and advocate for their implementation.

· The ability to communicate effectively and timely both verbally and in writing.

· The ability to effectively manage may projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Job responsibilities will include:

· Manage Accounting & Finance Department

· Financial modeling for existing projects

· Financial modeling and projections in support of decisions on newly proposed projects

· Management of monthly entity financials

· Manage company annual forecasting , budgeting and cash planning

- Demonstrated ability to plan and manage cash flows and expenses

· Report on financial performance and prepare leadership reviews

· Provide guidance with respect to strategic planning for the company

· Developing bank financing packages and due diligence materials to fund projects

· Attract and retain relationships with financial institutions and investor partners

· Tax planning and oversight of tax return preparation for multiple entities

· Working within a team environment to support other departments and staff

· Be a part of the Executive Management Team

· Report directly to the CEO

The Work Environment

The Rancon Group is a family oriented, fast moving and opportunistic developer in the Southern California region. There projects include a variety of real estate assets and the Europa Village Winery. The new Director of Finance will have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to both existing and potential new projects. The successful candidate will work primarily in the company’s Murrieta California headquarters and will be expected to do occasional travel regionally and within California.

Compensation 

· Salary range $140,000-$170,000 plus bonus, based on qualifications and experience. Healthcare.
