Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Manage general ledger (GL) accounts, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare tax filings, and assist in audits.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor internal controls to ensure proper financial reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.) for financial reporting and data management.
- Support the implementation of accounting policies, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from four-year college or university.
- Experience: 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Pivot tables & VLOOKUP’s.
- Experience in winery, retail, and resort inventory management and cost accounting is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle Cloud ERP experience is a plus).
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
