Warehouse Operations Manager
Europerfumes is the leading US distributor of artisanal fragrance brands. Founded in 1997, Europerfumes has decades of experience vetting and sourcing the best independent brands from all over the world. Today our portfolio includes over 15 brands (including Commodity Fragrances, Twisted Lily, Juliette Has a Gun, Dr.Vranjes, etc) for which we manage everything within the US. This management includes direct to consumer digital storefronts (including the site design, development and in-home experience), social media presence (including advertising and organic posts and stories), and retail distribution (with partners including the likes of Sephora, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Anthropologie, Bluemercury, Revolve and Kith—just to name a few).
As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the warehouse team, managing daily workflows, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll ensure smooth operations across receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping while keeping a close eye on inventory levels, productivity, and team performance. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Order Fulfillment
- Oversee daily warehouse activities across three locations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Plan and communicate daily objectives, setting clear priorities for the team.
- Monitor open orders each morning to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts, overstocking, and inefficiencies.
- Conduct downstock reviews to identify replenishment needs and avoid shortages.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff, including supervisors and associates.
- Conduct morning huddles with department leads to align on daily goals.
- Foster a positive, productive work environment where employees feel supported.
- Hold weekly team recaps, encouraging open discussions about challenges and improvements.
- Provide coaching and feedback to help the team grow and improve performance.
Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with department leads to eliminate bottlenecks in picking, packing, and shipping.
- Use KPI reports, aisle management tools, and daily production tracking to assess performance.
- Continuously look for ways to reduce waste in labor and movement.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all warehouse operations follow company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free.
Vendor & Customer Relations
- Work with carriers (USPS, FedEx, etc.) to negotiate better rates and service agreements.
- Act as the main point of contact for warehouse-related customer issues.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Logistics, and Procurement to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in special projects, events, and customer activations as needed.
Performance Tracking & Problem-Solving
- Monitor key performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
- Regularly review open orders and completed invoices to track efficiency.
- Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues.
What We’re Looking For
