Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to guide construction activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
- Utilize construction management software such as Primavera and ProCore for project tracking and reporting.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare detailed construction estimates based on project requirements and specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints; familiarity with tools such as Bluebeam is a plus.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management related to construction projects.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter for electrical inspections is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
