JOB SUMMARY-ROOM ATTENDANT (HOUSEKEEPING)
To ensure that the rooms are clean, neat and tidy at all times, this involves making sure that the general appearance of the room, is not only sanitary and hygienic but that it is also well decorated to make the room look attractive and very appealing to the guests inhabiting it while reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisors and the Director of Housekeeping
Essential Functions
- Responsible for clear and effective communications between the housekeeping staff
- Report all work orders, problems and repairs to either engineering/maintenance or the housekeeping department
- Maintain sanitary working conditions by means of washing, cleaning and disinfecting
- Ensure that housekeeping services are completed in a first class manner
- Dust furniture, light fixtures, decorations, appliances, window sills, etc.
- Cleaning sinks, mirrors, toilet, tubs and showers daily
- Changing bed sheets daily or as follows by hotel standards as per the hotel’s guidelines
- Recording room status on work assignment sheets
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and cleaning floors
- Reporting Lost and Found items
- Treating guests with courtesy, respect and honoring their privacy
- Reporting any unusual damage to the hotel guest rooms or hotel guest room supplies or equipment
- Keep work areas neat and tidy at all times
- Comply with the hotel at all times on the standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
