Job Title: Head Registered Nurse (RN)/Teacher
Location: Eustace Independent School District, District Wide
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head Registered Nurse (RN)/Teacher to join our team at Eustace Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health services provided across the district. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, extensive nursing experience, and a deep commitment to the well-being of our students and staff. This position will also teach Principals of Health Science CTE courses to high school students in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the delivery of health services across the district.
2. Develop and implement health policies and procedures in line with state and federal regulations.
3. Train and supervise nursing staff and other healthcare personnel.
4. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
5. Maintain accurate records of patients' medical histories, and coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. Train other healthcare staff on how to input data into Skyward.
6. Respond to medical emergencies and provide necessary treatment.
7. Promote health education and preventive health practices among students and staff.
8. Teach the Principles of Health Science CTE course at the high school.
Skills:
1. Excellent leadership and management skills.
2. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of various medical procedures and laws related to healthcare.
3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions quickly.
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
6. Proficient in medical software and computer literacy.
7. Knowledge of the Skyward data system is an advantage.
Certifications:
1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2. Additional certifications in pediatric nursing, school nursing, or a related field would be an advantage.
3. Teaching certification is an advantage.
