Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team at Eustace High School. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their academic, career, and personal development.
Develop and implement an all-encompassing educational and counseling plan with modern methods of teaching and mentoring.
Foster equal opportunity practices and encourage students’ association in extracurricular activities.
Monitor and evaluate students’ educational progress and mental health.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a healthy learning environment for the students.
Assist students in setting realistic academic and career goals and developing a plan to achieve them.
Identify behavioral problems or at-risk students and act appropriately to address the issues.
Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards in school counseling.
Skills:
Proven experience as a school counselor in a diverse educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong moral character with a clear understanding of ethics related to school counseling.
Ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse student body.
Understanding of the school’s educational mission and standards.
Certifications:
The candidate must hold a valid certification in School Counseling or a related field.
