Job Title: School Counselor

Location: Eustace Intermediate School

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team at Eustace Intermediate School. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of our students, providing them with the necessary guidance and support to enhance their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their academic, career, and personal/social development.
2. Develop and implement an all-encompassing educational and counseling plan with modern methods of teaching and mentoring.
3. Foster equal opportunity practices and encourage students’ association in extracurricular activities.
4. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administration to identify students’ needs and implement strategies to address these needs.
5. Conduct regular assessments to track student progress, behavior, and other relevant factors.
6. Assist students in setting realistic and achievable academic and career goals.
7. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal regulations as mandated by the relevant regulatory bodies and the school.

Skills:

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong understanding of the developmental needs of intermediate school students.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff and community resources.
4. Proficient in creating and implementing comprehensive school counseling programs.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a multicultural and diverse environment.

Certifications:

The ideal candidate must hold a valid certification in School Counseling or a related field. Prior experience working in an educational setting is highly desirable.
