Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Global Account Manager with expertise in LEO and GEO satellite connectivity to join our team. This critical role will be instrumental in advancing Eutelsat OneWeb's Connectivity business on a global scale.

As a key contributor to our sales team, the ideal candidate will have a solid background in the satellite industry, deep knowledge of satellite services, and a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with established partners and key customers across the LEO and GEO satellite connectivity market.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth, enhance client satisfaction, and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and execute on new business opportunities that align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging your industry expertise to deliver innovative solutions that meet their connectivity needs.
  • This role reports directly to the Head of Global Accounts and offers the opportunity to work with some of the industry's most influential partners and clients.

  • What You'll Do :

  • Sales Strategy Development :
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to align with overall business objectives and maximize revenue potential in the LEO and GEO satellite connectivity markets.

  • Identify and prioritize key accounts, ensuring focused efforts on high-impact opportunities.
  • Assist in strategic planning, account management, and execution of key initiatives to ensure alignment with overarching company goals.
  • Partner / Customer Relationship Management :
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners and customers, serving as their primary point of contact for all needs and inquiries.

  • Deliver tailored solutions, exceptional service, and proactive communication to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Business Development :
  • Actively contribute to expanding the company's presence within the satellite connectivity industry.

  • Provide ongoing support to the distribution partner sales teams globally, equipping them with the resources and knowledge needed to drive success.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and events where our partners are active to strengthen relationships, showcase offerings, and explore new business opportunities.
  • Customer Feedback and Advocacy :
  • Collect and relay customer feedback to internal teams to inform continuous improvement in products, services, and processes.

  • Advocate for customers' needs internally to ensure their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Sales Target Achievement :
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets, including upselling and cross-selling additional products and services to existing clients.

  • Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) by leveraging a consultative sales approach that prioritizes customer needs and delivers value-driven solutions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork :
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and technical support, to ensure seamless execution of partner / client initiatives and projects.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal stakeholders to address issues, drive projects, and ensure alignment.
  • Market and Industry Analysis :
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Use market insights to inform strategic decision-making and provide valuable input into business planning.
  • Reporting and Analysis :
  • Monitor account performance data and prepare regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage pipelines, and use CRM tools and other sales management systems to track progress and results effectively.
  • Compliance and Integrity :
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry regulations.

  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Thought Leadership and Expertise :
  • Act as a subject matter expert in LEO and GEO satellite technologies, providing guidance and insights to partners and customers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build relationships and enhance brand visibility.
  • Conflict Management :
  • Effectively manage and resolve pricing or channel conflicts, ensuring fair practices across all partners and maintaining a balanced competitive environment.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who can balance immediate business needs with long-term growth strategies. You'll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge satellite connectivity solutions while fostering trusted relationships with key partners and clients.

    Qualifications :

  • Experience :
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the satellite connectivity, telecommunications, or related industries.

  • Demonstrated success in managing global accounts, achieving revenue targets, and driving business growth.
  • Industry Knowledge :
  • Deep understanding of LEO and GEO satellite technologies, connectivity solutions, and market dynamics.

  • Familiarity with satellite distribution models, partner ecosystems, and emerging trends in the connectivity sector.
  • Sales and Business Acumen :
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

  • Strong track record of upselling, cross-selling, and consultative selling to address complex customer needs.
  • Relationship Management :
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with key stakeholders across diverse cultures and geographies.

  • Experience in managing high-value customer relationships and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Analytical Skills :
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and performance data to inform decision-making and improve business strategies.

  • Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other analytics platforms for reporting and forecasting.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills :
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and deliver impactful presentations to C-level executives.

  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages, particularly Spanish or French, are a strong plus.
  • Technical Aptitude :
  • Ability to understand and explain technical satellite connectivity solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong collaboration with internal technical teams to ensure seamless execution of customer projects.
  • Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.

  • Adaptability and Global Perspective :
  • Experience working in international markets with an understanding of cultural nuances and global business practices.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required (approximately 25-50% of the time).

    Where You'll Work :

    This role is based in Washington, D.C., surrounding areas , or anywhere on the East Coast of the United States with the flexibility to work remotely .

    You'll collaborate with a globally dispersed team while having the autonomy to manage your responsibilities from your preferred East Coast location. This setup allows you to work effectively with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders across different time zones while maintaining a strong connection to the team.
