Description
General Duties
- Part-time only 24 hours per week
- Communicates project status to Utilities Engineering staff
- Reviews boundary / topographic surveys for County property to meet the following requirements:
Update of county databases
Meets 2016 ALTA/ACSM Standards
Reviews survey control and baselines
Support to review surplus items related to surveying
Processing, review, and documenting of Petitions to Vacate requests
Research, track and report of recorded plats
Meets Orange County Real Estate Management requirements
Survey Standards of Practice and the Minimum Technical Standards
Processing, review, and documenting of proposed annexations
Performs quality control of horizontal and vertical coordinates for property corners
Review, comment, or approval memo of Lift Station Surveys and Sketch of Descriptions
Plot legal descriptions using Professional surveying expertise, mathematics, and available software
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Experience
Experience with GPS and Trimble GPS units
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a PSM
Experience with utility water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure
Experience reading and using construction plan drawings, legal descriptions and interpretation of aerial photographs.
Preferences
Knowledge of GPS hardware and software
Knowledge of AutoCad software and drawing in .dxf or .dwg formats
Knowledge of the Utilities water, wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure assets
Previous experience working with the County's Real Estate Management Division
