Job Description
- Utilize computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to generate comprehensive and detailed plans for EV charging stations, incorporating architects' initial concepts.
- Analyze building codes and regulations to determine their impact on the design and functionality of electric vehicle charging stations.
- Orchestrate the seamless integration of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical elements within EV charging stations, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Draft meticulous plans for the foundations, buildings, and structures of EV charging stations, adhering to precise instructions from engineers and architects.
- Conduct on-site visits to gather crucial data necessary for the refinement of EV charger installation designs, guaranteeing suitability for the designated location.
- Determine the precise types and quantities of materials required to construct EV charging stations, ensuring efficient procurement and cost control.
- Collaborate with architects to generate cost estimates, contracts, and other essential documentation specific to individual EV charging station projects.
- Undertake further tasks as assigned, contributing to the successful completion of EV charging station projects.
- Master Problem Solver: Exceptional problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges and ensure successful project completion.
- CAD Expertise: Extensive knowledge of CAD software and other architectural drafting tools for efficient and accurate design creation.
- Clear Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey project details to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Required Education: Associate's degree in Drafting or a related field.
- Proven Experience: 3 years of experience in a relevant field, such as architectural drafting or EVCI project development.
- AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT: Must have experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT including operating and drafting experience (not access, review and editing).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work comfortably for extended periods at a desk and using a computer while maintaining proper posture.
- Site Access: Ability to navigate all areas of construction sites safely and efficiently.
- Moderate Lifting: Ability to lift up to 15 pounds for occasional tasks.
