The Failure Analysis Team is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to identify quality issues in our processes. The Failure Analysis Team’s objective is to find quality escapes through offline sampling, find the root cause and implement countermeasures to improve the quality of Tesla’s products by reducing field issues in collaboration with a large cross-section of other engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have a positive can-do attitude, take pride in their hands-on work, analytical ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail. What You'll Do
Perform and analyze cell inspections independently per instructionsDocument and communicate findings from cell inspections clearly and concisely to stakeholdersIdentify and create new procedures to streamline the inspection processTroubleshoot and resolve issues with the CT/Xray equipmentEnforce and maintain 5S and workplace hygiene standards
What You'll Bring
Experience with quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with performing visual and dimensional inspectionsStrong desire to learn and use advanced characterization and analysis techniques in Li-ion cell and battery pack manufacturing processesAbility to document findings and prepare detailed reportsSQL Experience and VGstudios and ImageJ experience is a strong plusMust have command of the English language, both written and verbalAn engineering degree is a strong plus

Expected Compensation
$28.75 - $48.79/hour cash and stock awards benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
