Project Electrical Engineer

EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer for one of our partners that is at the forefront of EV charging infrastructure development. In this position, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge electric vehicle charging station solutions while providing technical leadership across multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed construction documents and engineering specifications for EV charging infrastructure projects
• Lead multiple concurrent projects from concept through implementation
• Perform comprehensive technical analyses including feasibility studies, energy optimization, and power system coordination
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, specifications, and material selections
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance protocols
• Conduct power system coordination and arc flash hazard analysis
• Review shop drawings and manage RFPs, change orders, and project closeouts
• Collaborate with construction teams to resolve electrical installation challenges
• Ensure code compliance and technical specification adherence
• Review architectural work as part of QA/QC program
• Establish and maintain production standards and best practices
• Perform site visits and field measurements
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• 2-3 years of electrical design, planning, and construction services experience
• 1-2 years of EV field experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and industry standards
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (SKM, ETAP, or similar)
• Experience with low and medium-voltage power distribution systems
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities
• Previous experience managing multiple complex projects
• Demonstrated team leadership experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel
