The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager based in Chicago to lead the implementation of Level 2 and Level 3 EV charging infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of charging station deployment, from initial site selection through final commissioning. This role requires close collaboration with real estate teams, utility companies, contractors, and local authorities to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent project management skills to drive the expansion of our charging network while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Direct the end-to-end implementation of EV charging station projects, including site assessment, design, permitting, and construction
• Collaborate with real estate teams on site visits to evaluate locations and provide technical input for site selection
• Develop concept designs and comprehensive site plans for new charging locations
• Manage utility coordination, including design review, easements, and service agreements
• Lead due diligence processes including permitting, utilities, and ALTA surveys
• Create and maintain project budgets and schedules
• Review and approve technical drawings from internal teams and external contractors
• Coordinate with municipal authorities for permits and zoning approvals
• Develop RFP documents and manage contractor selection process
• Oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Manage vendor relationships and contractor performance
• Ensure smooth transition from construction to commissioning
• Resolve technical challenges and coordinate with engineering teams
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors
