What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Stud Framer position at EV Construction?
EV Construction, based in Holland, MI, and in business for over 75 years, is seeking an experienced crew member for our interiors team. Our team members model character (ability to be trusted), chemistry (ability to work well with others), and competence (ability to work with skill).
Ideal candidates will have some exposure to commercial construction, specifically metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and/or familiarity with MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection) trades, but we will train the right person.
Qualifications:
- Must have reliable transportation. This role works throughout West Michigan regularly.
- Eligible to work in the US
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and use hand tools.
- General familiarity with construction tools and materials.
- Ability to perform basic math
- Hilti PAT certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds or more occasionally
- Must be able to see details at close range
- Will work for prolonged periods standing in a variety of conditions
- Must have good manual dexterity, good sense of balance, good hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to perform work on scaffolding and / or ladders
- Must be able to work at heights in powered lifts
- Must be able to work at or above shoulder height for extended periods of time
