What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director Finance position at eVAC Magnetics?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Acts as partner and key contributor to the General Manager and partner with the senior leadership teams throughout the organization to provide value-added analyses and business insights, including driving analytics for major operational changes such as manufacturing footprint impacts and supply chain/product line strategies.
- Establish and lead a state-of-the art finance function including a best in class accounting and production/manufacturing controlling (cost accounting) for the Company being a Tier one supplier to leading automakers in the US as well as customers associated with the US Department of Defense.
- Be the first point of contact in all financial aspects around the long lasting off-take agreement with one of the leading automakers in the US including product costing as basis for annual price negotiation and other matters as well as customers associated with the US Department of Defense.
- Oversee the region's annual financial planning and forecasting process and drive improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and transparency including all aspects of FP&A including financial planning and forecasting, strategic planning and decision making, P&L analysis, and reporting.
- Support commercial growth initiatives in partnership with the regional President, business unit VP and the corporate commercial team, including significant contract and commercial negotiation evaluation, ensuring local US GAAP and IFRS (Group accounting standards) compliance and strategy alignment.
- Support manufacturing efficiency and inventory management through partnership with the Operations team with a specific focus on advancing standard costing processes and expanding manufacturing profitability.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal income tax and sales tax laws as well as with the Group’s Fundamental Financial Controls and to be developed SOX matrixes in all policies and procedures.
- Manage local, state and federal stakeholders that have provided considerable financial support to the Company and ensure compliance with the existing contracts and a seamless reimbursement process as well as quarterly and annual reporting to these.
- Manage the interface between corporate HQ, stakeholder and internal / external partners.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required, a Master’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Director or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 10 years or more of related experience required, ideally working experience in the mechanical manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with SAP preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
- Authorized to work in the US
Salary : $60,340 - $156,540
