Position: RN Director of Nursing
Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - with hours varying and on-call as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Licensure/Education: RN licensure, CPR certified
    • Registered Nurse in State of Michigan
    • BSN or associated Health Care degree preferred but not required
  • Previous work experience: 3 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility as a Director of Nursing or in a management role
  • Prior knowledge of: Skilled nursing rules and regulations, infection control, quality assurance, performance improvement plans, strong clinical nursing judgement, quality measures, MDS, wound care, rehospitalization oversight, resident care planning, resident rights, personnel management
  • PointClickCare familiarity - preferred but not required.
  • Other: Basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Job Duties, but not limited to:

  • Facilitate, report, and coordinate efforts on MDS functions and care plans
  • Monthly audit MDS processes
  • Provide a monthly written report for each site to Director of Long Term Care Services
  • Coordinate efforts with Corporate MDS Technical Support person, Senior Business Office Manager and Director of Finance
  • Coordinate Networking meetings and educational opportunities
  • Promote MADONA involvement
  • Assist and attend in various corporate involvement meetings
  • Able to withstand working conditions including standing, sitting, and driving long distances. Required to lift items weighing up to 24 pounds. Sensory or communicative activities essential to job performance are feeling, hearing, seeing, and speaking.
  • On Call: Yes - 24/7 for emergencies per regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
