About The Position
Digital Communications Manager, Property Resource Hub will launch, moderate, and actively support the online hub to help synods and congregations make informed decisions with regard to missional property. They will also train and equip synods and congregations to use the resource. This position works closely with the Program Director as well as Director, Congregational Stewardship Support to ensure that the resource is well maintained, up to date with gathered content and stories, easy to navigate, and well organized.
This is a full-time, term-contract, exempt, remote position. This position has responsibilities that will require daily participation in contact updates, travel as needed, and a regular 40-hour work week unless otherwise designated.
The eligibility of a candidate for remote or hybrid positions may depend on the residency of the candidate, and the budget for the role, including salary or pay, insurance coverage, and/or tax burden. Candidates for this position must reside within the fifty United States or the District of Columbia and be authorized to work lawfully in the United States. Responsibilities:
- Launch an online resource hub to help synods and congregations explore options and opportunities regarding space and building usage, utilizing stories, best practices, links to affiliated organizations working in the space, and an online forum for idea sharing and discussion.
- Communicate to interested parties the material and intent.
- Maintain up to date links and vetted materials on the site, continually creating ever-fresh materials.
- Manage day-to-day forum moderation. Collect and recommend stories and examples from across the ELCA (and beyond) for showcasing and publication.
- Produce a variety of reports to be shared with donor, advisory board, and others monitoring hub usage and utilizing data from research and eval team.
- In conjunction with Program Director manage strategy and logistics for online and in-person events and Executive and Advisory Team meetings. Work internally with the ELCA Meetings team on staff and non-staff travel and externally with ELCA Synod contacts on location logistics. Assist Director in the development of an in-person/hybrid gathering for second year.
- In conjunction with Director, Program Manager, and Churchwide colleagues, create an in-person gathering in second year around building usage innovations, best practices, and practical tools for congregations and leaders to encourage ingenuity in the space.
- Help develop and troubleshoot new scholarship processes in GrantMaker with IT and OT for applications, payment paths and efficiencies.

Requirements
- 5 years’ experience working in a non-profit environment; Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management, IT or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with updating websites.
- Experience interfacing with public entities for training and education purposes.
- Experience working with congregations and synods (or equivalent judicatory bodies).
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
- Appreciation for the mission, vision, and values of the ELCA.
