Description

Evans is hiring a Communications Consultant resource to join their growing team in one of their contracts in Washington DC. You will perform high-level support functions that assist in developing communications products, supporting program initiatives, and managing executive level relationships. We are seeking someone who demonstrates proven success in executing communications strategies and supporting client communications needs in a fast-paced environment. 


Location Details:  This role is hybrid with up to 2 days on-site/week in Washington D.C. 

  • Group level support includes strategic communications planning, collaborative workgroup facilitation, and change management communications.
  • Provide meeting facilitation and logistics support such as developing agendas, preparing meeting materials, and summary notes.
  • Program management support includes drafting executive briefings, talking points, and action tracking.
  • Development and tracking of executive level notes, minutes, briefings and artifacts.
  • Supporting the communications team on projects while overseeing communications initiatives.  
  • Developing and editing written products including articles, memos, event invitations, website content, newsletters, and other correspondence.
  • Develop compelling and targeted content for a variety of internal channels and communications. 
  • Summarizing, synthesizing, and translating technical team activities and key takeaways for stakeholder audiences.                
  • Developing program briefings to senior executives and other internal/external stakeholders, including presentation agendas, outlines, and talking points to support these engagements or events.
  • Manage aspects of meeting logistics, developing agenda topics and flow of presentations.

Requirements

  

  • A Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 10 years of experience is required. A Master’s Degree may substitute for three years of      experience. 
  • Communications planning and content creation experience required. 
  • Proven experience in strategic communications, writing, and/or drafting correspondence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension.
  • Attention to detail with strong organization skills.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and organizational change initiatives and experience providing communications support.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a timely manner while remaining organized. 
  • Maintaining internal and external relationships while executing clear communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
