Evans Equipment & Environmental is a sales, service and rental company established in 1987. Our specialty is industrial water treatment systems. As our name implies, we are proponents for the environment, focusing on wastewater recycling equipment that captures, filters and recycles wash water from pressure washers or steam cleaners. We are a full-service company that designs, constructs, provides equipment, services equipment, and provides ongoing supplies for our systems.
We are seeking a reliable and professional Rental Driver to join our team in La Porte, Tx. The Rental Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery, setup, and pickup of rental equipment. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. This position is also responsible for basic repairs to equipment, so mechanical aptitude is a required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Delivery and Pickup: Transport rental equipment to and from customer sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Equipment Setup and Demonstration: Assist customers with the setup of equipment and provide basic operational training to ensure proper and safe usage.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-delivery inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Report any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
- Repairs: Troubleshoot equipment and do basic mechanical repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, inspections, and customer interactions.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive rental experience.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company and regulatory safety protocols during transportation, setup, and pickup of equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in equipment delivery, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles and equipment safely.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
