What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Evans General Contractors?
Summary/Objective
The Project Engineer is responsible for being a significant support to the Project Manager and their Project Team. Our goal is to always meet the Client’s needs and exceed their expectations by delivering quality service on schedule and at the most competitive prices. The Project Engineer is expected to develop and maintain relationships with the team, new and existing clients, and subcontractors to support the growth of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Project Team in the management of construction schedule to achieve on-time and on-budget Project completion
- Assists in development of cost estimates and review of technical documents
- Assists Project Team with financial responsibility with established budget, including Change Orders
- Assists Project Manager with obtaining proper construction contractions, permits, and licenses
- Supports Project Superintendent in the execution of the Project
- Assists with assessing potential risks and establishing contingency plans
- Communicates clearly and consistently with internal and external customers
- Works well with assisting Project Team to develop and issue Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
- Assists in preparation of the Project closeout process
- Demonstrates professional credibility, integrity, trust, and commitment
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study, preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptable to change
- Possesses attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and can accomplish tasks without direct oversight
