Summary/Objective
The Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, hiring and assisting with the onboarding new Evans General Contractors, LLC’s employees. This position will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, assist in developing recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process to support the Company’s growth and success. This a full time, on-site position at our Alpharetta, GA office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing tailored recruitment strategies for the Company and for each Division.
- Source and identify potential candidates based on specific position requirements.
- Develop and sustain candidate pipelines for prospective future hires.
- Create and post job advertisements on Company’s HRIS and applicable job boards.
- Review and screen applications to evaluate if candidates meet basic qualifications of the position.
- Conduct pre-screening interviews and schedule additional interviews with hiring managers.
- Manage relationships with external recruiters to ensure alignment with Company needs.
- Maintain positive relationships with candidates and employees, acting as a point of contact throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage college and career fair activities for the Company.
- Assist with the maintenance of internal databases related to applicant and employee data according to Company policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist in preparing and sending onboarding information to new hires.
- Assist in onboarding new employees, including conducting first-day orientation, ensuring a seamless transition into their position, and providing continuous support and training opportunities.
- Implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
- Participate in recruitment events to expand outreach and attract top talent.
- Generate recruitment reports to track key metrics and performance indicators.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, preferred.
- Three or more years of recruiting/sourcing experience, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing candidates, including but not limited to the use of LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Knowledge of hiring best practices, including interviewing standards and etiquette.
- Approachable and able to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with candidates, hiring managers and employees.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, ensuring the protection of confidential information
- Experience in construction or construction-related industries preferred
- Effective active listening skills and follow-up practices
- Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and project management skills
- Embrace change and quick learner to adopt process and technology enhancements
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications with advanced MS Excel skills, skilled in database software, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) (ADP Workforce Now preferred), and other HR related applications
