Site Quality Manager
Summary/Objective
The site quality manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality control on a construction project, ensuring all work adheres to established standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements by conducting regular inspections, identifying potential issues, implementing corrective actions, and documenting compliance throughout the construction process, collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve high-quality deliverables. This is an on-site role in Denver, CO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of work in progress, materials, and workmanship, identifying any deviations from quality standards and documenting findings.
- Evaluate and approve contractor-submitted quality plans, inspection and test plans, and other relevant documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide Quality talking points for Preconstruction agendas.
- Address quality issues promptly, including identifying root causes, proposing corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution of non-compliant situations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, analyze data, and report on trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Educate construction personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices through training sessions and on-site coaching.
- Collaborate with project team, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure all parties are aligned on quality expectations and address concerns effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions through comprehensive reports for project management and client review.
- Keep abreast of evolving construction quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices to incorporate into project procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction science, Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education, training, certifications and experience.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, materials, and quality control methods
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with quality management systems and auditing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
- Analytical skills to identify root causes of quality issues and develop solutions
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on quality matters
- Proficient in relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting
