What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repair Technician position at Evans Home Improvement?
We are seeking a hands-on Repair Technician with experience in general exterior home repairs. This role includes everything from roof and siding repairs to gutter maintenance, flat roofing, and window/door installations and adjustments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can troubleshoot, solve problems on-site, and deliver high-quality workmanship with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform small-to-medium roofing repairs (shingle replacement, leak repair, etc.)
- Conduct siding repairs (vinyl, wood, etc.)
- Complete gutter repairs, cleaning, and replacements
- Install, adjust, and repair windows and exterior doors
- Handle flat roofing repairs and maintenance
- Assess damage, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in exterior home repairs
- Skilled in roofing, siding, gutters, windows, doors, and flat roofing work
- Must have your own tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a reliable work vehicle (truck or van capable of carrying materials/tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism
