What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduation Coach - Evans position at Evans Satellite?

REPORTS TO: Site Director
QUALIFICATIONS: Georgia Secondary Teaching Certificate, Access to a personal computer and reliable internet
DUTIES:
Plan and implement strategies to achieve student graduation including, but not limited to, the following:
- Identify all barriers and solutions.
- Helps develop Hot List
- Attendance- monitor student attendance weekly; develop and implement attendance interventions; solve transportation issues (i.e., run gas card programs, assist with childcare issues).
- Academics- monitor student academic progress weekly (use the attendance and course credit report); help to develop interventions (i.e., tutors, curriculum adaptation, alternative options for course completion).
- Testing required for graduation- work with school counselor and testing coordinator; assure student attendance at reviews; assure student attendance at tests; monitor testing modifications for SWD.
- Support new student orientation Connection Room.
- Work with seniors.
- Track progress toward graduation (i.e., credits earned, courses and tests necessary to graduate, attendance, etc.)
- Provide "whatever it takes" to graduate-more time outside regular school hours; additional academic assistance
- Coordinate graduation ceremony with Student Services staff.
- Develop strategies for drop out recovery
- Ongoing collaboration with feeder high schools
- Yearly meeting with feeder high school personnel
- Develop parent and community outreach program
- Develop relationships with parents/guardians, community organizations and other resources
- Provide support and outreach to parents/guardians of students identified as being at-risk of not graduating
- Connect students and parents/guardians with community organizations and programs
- Planning, tracking, and reporting
- Complete post-secondary planning interviews with Seniors and record in Infinite Campus
- Completes August Check In data summary
- Direct involvement with annual Student Services plan and budget
- Attend monthly Student Services Planning Meeting
- Provide information and review the monthly site Wellness Report
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Director.
