Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Truck Driver to operate tractor trailers and box trucks for the transportation of seafood products. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and secure delivery and pick-ups of seafood to and from various locations, ensuring the integrity and quality of the products during transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Safe Operation: Drive tractor trailers and box trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload seafood products onto and from the trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage.
• Route Planning: Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries and pick-ups while optimizing fuel efficiency.
• Documentation: Complete accurate and timely paperwork, including delivery and pick-up records, mileage logs, and any other required documentation.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any issues to the maintenance team and ensuring the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the trucks.
• Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with dispatch, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by representing the company in a professional and courteous manner during interactions with customers and suppliers.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including transportation, environmental, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in seafood or perishable goods transportation.
• Ability to operate both tractor trailers and box trucks.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to load and unload cargo and perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Successful completion of a drug screening test.
