Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : MS / Tele

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night, 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Guaranteed Hours : Can be low-censused once a calendar month without penalty

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience required

License : Must have an active IL license to apply

Certifications : BCLS required

Must-Have :

  • Experience with telemetry
  • Stroke, seizure, CHF, general medical, post cath lab patients

Job Description :

  • Work in a Cardiac / Stroke / Telemetry / MedSurg unit
  • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 days and 1 : 6 nights
  • Shift includes weekend rotation; every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirement
  • Float within scope to meet facility needs, including specified hospitals
  • Holiday shifts required
  • Accepts local residents
  • Pending license not accepted; must have an active license
  • RTO ideally no more than 5 days, with a maximum of 10 days
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred
  • EKG test required for all ICU, ED, Med Surg, and procedural areas; must pass on the first attempt with 84% or higher
  • Willing to accept travelers with background hits, subject to case-by-case review
  • 1-year period required before a perm staff member can return as a traveler
