Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health Hospital is a leading New England behavioral health facility that provides comprehensive mental health services for adults over the age of 19 in the Haverhill, MA, area. We offer acute inpatient services to help our patients stabilize and guide them toward a healthier lifestyle.
We are currently seeking to add an Inpatient Psychiatrist to support our patients receiving specialized psychiatric care. This position would be for weekend coverage beginning at 5 PM Friday thru 7 AM Mon, and would work 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
About the role :
The Inpatient Psychiatrist will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and / or medication.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
