Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various driving tasks, including loading and unloading materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Deliver items to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Handle heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Assist with warehouse duties as required, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Driver or in a courier role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary.
