Responsibilities:
As a member of our transportation team, you'll:
- Supervise and support helpers while on the truck, ensuring smooth operations.
- Conduct daily checks to ensure the truck's safety and efficiency, maintaining meticulous records.
- Collaborate closely with our Transportation/Operations Supervisor for effective coordination.
- Handle special pick-ups and deliveries with precision and care.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring items are stacked securely.
- Work with the Operations Department to facilitate the pickup and delivery process smoothly.
- Adhere to all safety standards and DOT requirements diligently.
Qualifications:
- Valid For Hire endorsement (or Chauffeur’s if prior to 2017) without limiting factors.
- Maintained DOT physical and compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Clear background check and ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings.
- Familiarity with the city and surrounding areas.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to safety at all times.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for mornings, evenings, and weekends.
