The Executive Director is a pivotal leadership role responsible for guiding the organization towards achieving its mission and strategic goals. This position requires a visionary leader with a strong background fundraising, marketing, operations management, and senior leadership. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations, ensuring that processes are efficient and aligned with the overall strategic plan. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional negotiation skills and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the Foundation's mission and goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, volunteers, and board members.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Foundation, representing its interests to the public, media, and community partners.
Communication:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance the visibility of the Foundation.
- Draft, review, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communications to stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement, donors, and community leaders.
Marketing and Public Relations:
- Design and implement marketing campaigns to promote the Foundation’s initiatives, events, and fundraising efforts.
- Oversee the creation and management of all marketing materials, including social media content, website updates, and promotional materials.
- Plan and execute public relations activities to build and maintain a positive image of the Foundation within the community.
Fundraising and Donor Relations:
- Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor outreach, and event planning.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors and grantors.
Administrative Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Foundation, including budgeting, financial management, and human resources.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Board of Directors on the Foundation’s activities, finances, and progress toward goals.
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, community outreach programs, and other special events.
- Coordinate logistics, marketing, and volunteer efforts for all events.
Qualitifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a non-profit organization, with a strong emphasis on communication, marketing, and administrative responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in using digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related applications.
