Basic Purpose of the Position (Provide a brief description of the job. One or two sentences)
This position will work with the manufacturing engineering and product sales groups. Design custom electrical schematics, with the use of electrical standards, UL and NEC code. Program computer based electrical and PLC design software. Design and calculate burner, air flow, and electrical requirements. Provide startup / operational support and communicate to customers and Evapco Field Service Technicians.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Understand and apply code for industrial electrical applications
Design custom schematics for Industrial HVAC UnitsProgram PLC code for units in multiple software formatsDesign HMI graphic interfacesCalculate and design burner, air flow, and electrical requirementsControl industrial refrigeration valve systemsClearly communicate with customers and contractorsProvide support to field service, factory, and customersNew product development for constantly evolving electrical componentsReview and revise electrical schematicsSafety :Design unit electrical systems with employee and customer safety in mind
Guide all personnel in safety procedures and the proper wearing and use of PPE for job taskQuality :Help all technicians resolve quality problems and issues related to electrical and controls systems
Resolve problems and issues with electrical prints and designHousekeeping :Maintain clean working area throughout the day
Maintain clean and organized digital files on computer and serverParticipate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvementsMeet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targetsAttend training courses as directed by managementMay perform other duties, as assignedPosition Challenges & Latitude
