Basic Purpose of the Position
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Manufacturing Engineering Department including purchasing activities, invoice reconciliation, scheduling inter-company transfers and capital expenditure tracking. Assist all engineers in their day-to-day administrative tasks.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Process department purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in Sage and maintain associated records
- Maintain vendors list and track outstanding requests for quotation
- Execute purchase orders and expedite orders as necessary
- Track expenditures according to capital or general ledger account and account balances
- Assist with new hire on-boarding
- Interface with other departments at all levels to accomplish tasks
- Coordinate department travel and calendar – Schedule domestic and international travel
- Reconcile receipts of materials with invoices and purchase orders
- Coordinates intra-company transfers and material purchases for global facilities
- Maintain department records and historical documents
- General office duties and coordination of team calendars and events
- Performs other related duties as assigned
