Job Description :
Entry Level Operator is to assist Operators and Senior Operators in the operation of sheet metal machines in production.
Job Qualifications :
- Basic machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts
- Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements
- Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets
- Attend training courses as directed by management
- May perform other duties, as assigned
- Willingness to learn
- Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained
- Maintain excellent work attendance
- Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
- Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity within your areas of responsibility
- Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1 / 32”
- Must be able to use overhead crane
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Basic shop math (i.e. add / subtract / divide / multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
- Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings
- Familiar with common hand and power tools
