Job Description

​​​​​Location: Southlake or Dallas, TX (Onsite, Office-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Not C2C
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Minimum Qualification: Engineering Computer Science or Electronics Engineering or Any Engineering or similar field from an accredited university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Experience: Senior Software Engineer works independently under minimum supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter for application development. In this role requires enough knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges, and develop products and solutions.

Objective/Purpose:

To ensure success as a Senior Software Engineer you shall have a strong passion for work and the ability to turn complex product /tool requirements into simple/optimal technical solutions and be accountable for the assigned technical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determining the structure and design of user interfaces for both desktop as well as web applications.
  • Develop the service model as per API management best practices and SOAP/ REST design paradigms
  • Create user dashboards for reporting and analytics
  • Build UI mock-ups and deliver demo
  • Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
  • Developing features to enhance the user experience.
  • Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
  • Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.
  • Building reusable code for future use.
  • Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.
  • Maintaining brand consistency throughout design.
  • Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the back-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
  • Develop solutions that complies with coding standards enforced through static analyzers such as SonarQube
  • Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation). Work within an Agile team, participating in ceremonies related to the Agile framework. Support cross-functional teams in testing, deploying, and maintaining the product /tool
  • Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
  • Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
  • Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
  • Taking lead on projects as and when needed.
  • Work with team members to improve design, coding practices​​​

    Qualifications

    Technical Expertise:

    Required:

    • Proficient experience using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
    • Understanding of key UI design principles.
    • Proficiency with UI development using.NET, VB.NET, C# HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
    • Understanding of server-side CSS.
    • Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator.
    • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
    • Understanding of SEO principles.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with standard set of Java developments tools including IDEs, build frameworks, source code control, Jira and other ALM tools.
    • A passion for technology with demonstrated ability to learn quickly
    • Strong understanding of the web/desktop application development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
    • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
    • Excellent project and time management skills.
    • Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently or with a group.
    • Unix and Shell scripting basics is a plus
    • Ability to participate in working sessions that result in clear requirements and technical design while working with technical, non-technical members of SCRUM team.
