ER Veterinary Supervisor - Night Shift

Position Overview:Reporting to the Hospital Manager and responsible for nursing excellence by supervising the clinical team workflow and collaboration. The shift primarily works the day shift and will include weekends. This can change depending on the needs of the hospital.
Who you are:
- 3 years experience in a clinical Nursing/Technician role preferred
- 2 years experience in a leadership and/or emergency role is a plus
- positive, energetic, with a can-do attitude
- excellent communication skills
- enjoy teaching and coaching
What you'll do:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the clinical team
- Supervise nurses, technicians, and assistants
- Assist with scheduling nurse, technician, and assistant shifts
- Manage nursing payroll budgets in partnership with the Hospital Manager
- Maximize utilization of downtime
- Maintain EVCC culture & values
- Interview & Onboard new hires (offboarding support as needed) in partnership with the Hospital Manager
- Work in conjunction with hospital leadership
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings
- Address patient care issues & interpersonal conflicts
- Implement EVCC Nursing Guidelines/Policies/Projects
- Ensure the team has the supplies/tools needed to perform medical care excellence
- Bridge gaps and unify EVCC team members
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to establish expectations & maintain standards of nursing excellence
- Incorporate feedback from doctors in guiding the clinical team
- Collaborate with shift leads to identify areas for process improvement
- Foster a learning culture for Nurses, Technicians, and Assistants
- Support the growth of clinical team members
- Utilize in-house trainers and other development tools
- Ensure credentialed veterinary nurses/technicians maintain licenses
- Participate in clinical team meetings & 1:1 check-ins
- Drive development plans and performance improvements
- Organizes student internships and externships in coordination with the recruiting team
- Support training opportunities for New ER Nurse/Technician candidates
