Position Summary:
The QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting parts to verify customer specifications and to follow procedures and embrace new technologies.
**2nd Shift: Monday- Friday with Occasional Saturdays- 3:00pm-11:00pm
Qualifications:
Required:
· Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
· Basic mathematical functions such as counting, multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting
· Working knowledge of injection molding
· Ability to read blueprints
· PC experience
· Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
· Organizational skills and maintain good attendance
Preferred:
· High School Graduate, 2 year degree
· Working knowledge of injection molding
Training (performed on-the-job):
· Continuous education and training is expected (where practicable)

Responsibilities:
· Treat all internal and external contacts with uncompromising respect and integrity under all circumstances.
· Inspect the product for defects and communicate information affecting product quality.
· Read the Work Instruction and Quality Specification Sheet to become familiar with customer requirements.
· Compare the product to the Quality Spec Sheet and physical samples.
· Perform periodic rounds to visually audit and randomly check parts and make decisions regarding the quality of the parts.
· Complete Production Reaction Forms and Quality Alerts as needed.
· Perform basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).
· Follow Quality Assurance procedures and record results as necessary.
· Verify measurements and weights of parts to ensure they meet the customer’s specifications.
· Responsible for moisture analysis checks.
· Use scales, gauges, calipers, micrometers and templates and examine surface of product for defects.
· Maintain specification sample boards, archive part samples and paperwork.
· Implement the plans and procedures of the QA Manager or QA Supervisor.
· Will investigate the cause of recurring defects and contain defects to ensure only approved product is allowed to ship.
· *Follow Sampling Protocols. *May assist with training.
· Follow company safety procedures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others.
· Attend team meetings to promote team building.
· General housekeeping to keep the work area and plant clean.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
