Job Description : Construction Manager
Position Summary
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for managing on-site construction activities and ensuring construction activities are performed safely, per design plans and code, and meeting or exceeding our quality standards. This position oversees the work of subcontractors, provides daily progress and quality reports, reports & escalates any deviations from drawings and work to resolve any site issues. Responsible for all Safety and Quality aspects of the site construction.
This Hybrid role is open to applicants in California only. Northern CA Preferred.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for the role will have a background in electrical and civil construction and will have experience working as or with subcontractors and capable of “speaking their language” and relating to usual challenges faced in a construction environment. The individual will be an innovative, collaborative, and a progressive leader with exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions in a highly complex, rapidly evolving environment. - Ability to collaborate with operations, project, engineers, subcontractors, and etc. to provide a safe and quality deliverable with in project timelines.
- Ability to review and understand provided drawings and ensure site is built to drawing / code / project requirements
- Ability to complete daily construction reports, Safety JSA's, quality reports with will documented information
- Ability to advise supervisor / engineering team of any deviations from drawings or issues on site to ensure plan forward prior to action being taken.
- Ability to resolve on site issues and emergencies
- Ability to maintain clean job site
- Ability to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to follow up on incomplete tasks
- Ability to provide effective communication (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in various software applications
