Job Description
The J is seeking enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for working with children ages 3 months to 11 years and are committed to providing a safe and engaging environment for them. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily care and supervision for the J's Kid Care program, including direct interaction with the children, leading activities, ensuring safety, managing Kid Care staff, and communicating effectively with parents and other staff, while adhering to all childcare regulations and standards. This position is part-time and averages 25 hours. Schedule will be as follows : Sundays from 8am-1pm, Mondays - Thursdays from 4pm - 8pm and some in - office hours.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Meet with parents regarding facility activities, policies, and check in / out procedures.
- Delegate tasks and provide guidance to other childcare attendants, ensuring consistent quality of care.
- Enforce safety guidelines and handbook procedures, including proper use of equipment, accident prevention procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Lead quarterly team meetings and training for current and new Kid Care staff
- Responsible for hiring and onboarding staff for Kid Care
- Responsible for creating the monthly schedule for Kid Care
- Report any concerns to supervisor about the children, parents, members and / or others as needed, including reporting of any incident where a child is injured, or suspected of child abuse or neglect.
- Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
