Job Description
Job Summary
The Kids Care Attendant ensures that Kids Care delivers a safe, fun and interactive environment. Conducts all activities in a positive and professional manner. Follows all Kids Care policies and procedures.
ESENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise activities of all assigned children in the Kids Care area and ensures child remains in designated area
- Provide child care to children including paging parent/guardian if necessary to assist with discipline issues and attending to personal needs
- Participate and entertain children with games or other approved activities
- Administer first aid to children in accordance with company policy
- Ensure parent receives copy of Kids Care agreement and answer any questions around procedures
- Report any incidents to Kids Care Supervisor or Fitness Director
- Report all member complaints to Kids Care Supervisor or Fitness Director
- Report any child health concerns to Kids Care Supervisor or Fitness Director so a Health Alert may be posted if required
- Responsible for general cleaning duties in Kids Care including disinfecting toys
- Ensure parent/guardian has signed Kids Care Agreement/Information Card
- Ensure parent/guardian completes and signs the Kids Care Register when checking in and checking out children
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk, talk and hear
- Use hands to climb or balance
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications
- 6-12 months child care experience preferred
- Minimum age requirement of 16 years old
- High School Diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in school
- Patience in dealing with children and customers
- High energy, proactive, requiring little direction, takes responsibility
- Team-oriented
- Willingness to be flexible and available to work occasional other shifts
- Willingness to perform job tasks not part of immediate job responsibilities and aids in member satisfaction and getting the job done
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
