Looking for people who love working with children and being in the water that want to help children learn how to become water safe and how to swim in our Learn to Swim program and private lessons.
*This position starts May 2025 and ends August 2025**
Compensation:
WSI Certified $11-$17/hour based on experience
Non WSI certified $9-$10.75/hour based on experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATION
- Responsible for filling out report cards for the students you teach
- Checks in private lesson usage on a daily basis
- Answers questions about aquatics classes, schedules and private lessons with current and prospective members
- Provide a fun and safe environment for all swimmers to learn how to be safe in and around water by providing quality instruction
- Works with other agency staff for agency-wide special events programs and other events as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Other assignments as deemed necessary by the Aquatics Director.
- Previous experience working with children, preferred teaching swim lessons

American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and first aid
- If do not have certification then must become certified in first 60 days
- American Red Cross WSI preferred
- Great customer service skills
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Ability to work a consistent schedule
- A love of children and a desire to teach
