Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer service-oriented Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team. This position includes morning, afternoon, and night audit shifts, ensuring smooth guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and managing guest inquiries. The night audit shift also includes balancing the daily financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:General Front Desk Duties (All Shifts):
- Greet and welcome guests with a positive attitude.
- Check guests in and out efficiently while ensuring accuracy in reservations.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly.
- Process payments, issue room keys, and update room status in the hotel system.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Assist in resolving guest concerns and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance.
Morning & Afternoon Shifts:
- Assist guests with early check-ins and special requests.
- Provide information about local attractions, transportation, and hotel amenities.
- Process reservations and manage availability.
- Assist with group check-ins and coordinate with housekeeping.
Night Audit Duties:
- Run daily financial reports and balance accounts.
- Verify and reconcile all transactions, including payments and room charges.
- Prepare end-of-day reports and communicate discrepancies.
- Handle late check-ins and early departures.
- Ensure security measures are followed during overnight hours.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS, or similar) is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and balancing accounts.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift luggage or supplies as needed (up to 25 lbs).
- Work in varying shifts, including overnight hours.
