We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and supporting the overall payroll function. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and practices, as well as proficiency in data entry and account reconciliation.
Job Description: As the Payroll Assistant at EEG, you will play a vital role in both maintaining a positive and productive work environment for our team, while upholding the highest standard of service that defines our brand(s).
Experience
- Prepares, organizes, and maintains weekly payroll reports for processing.
- Formats payroll imports files for ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensures accuracy and compliance in overtime and federal and state regulations.
- Stays up to date all multi-state payroll regulations, federal and state labor laws, and tax codes, ensuring accurate application.
- Compiles, audits, and reconciles employee time data and timesheets and enters allocations.
- Calculates payroll and verifies totals.
- Maintains payroll records and reports.
- Verifies payroll deductions for accuracy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of payroll processing experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now software and Microsoft Office Suite, Excel a must.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive team member information with discretion.
- Proven experience in payroll and accounting.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, HR policies, and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
