What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Field Staff position at Event Kings?
In the upcoming weeks if there is a need for staff we will be reaching out to you by text message from our staffing phone number. Please be advised this is a part time per-diem position. You’re not obligated to work all events asked of you and you will simply reply to my text message with a Yes or No (I can or can’t work that specific day). After committing to a date by responding Yes please hold that entire date (day) for us. Event times and details could change all the way up until a week prior to the event. Things to Know:
· I will send you a text from our staffing phone around a month before the event date and ask if you are available to work. If you are available to work, please hold the entire day for us because event times and details can change all the way up until a week prior to the event.
· If you are scheduled to work, a few days prior to the event you will receive a confirmation text message from one of our producers , confirming your position for the event on XX/XX/XX. This text messages will include all of the details you need to know...Meet time, Event time and point of contact for the day of if there should be any issues.
· Upon arrival to your first Event Meet Time, you will receive an Event Staff shirt which you can keep. Black bottoms are required if not specified otherwise in your confirmation text message. (Black Jeans/Pants or appropriate length Shorts are acceptable)
· Meet Times are at our warehouse in Deer Park where you will be traveling to the event site with the crew. 1010 Grand Blvd, Deer Park NY 11729. You can park in our back parking lot off of E. Jefryn Blvd.
· You will never be expected to drive to an event unless you want to be a driver (Personal car or truck/van) please specify on your application if this interests you.
· If and when you do volunteer to drive our vehicles you will receive $20.00 extra for local driving or $30.00 extra for Montauk, NYC or NJ. This money will be ON TOP of your event pay.
· If you drive own car to site with crew, you will be required to submit a clean driving record and you will be paid $30.00 for local driving or $50.00 for Montauk, NYC or NJ travel.
· EzPass tags will be provided or your personal EzPass tag would be reimbursed if necessary or used.
· Food: All staff is fed at most events and if there is no food available for our staff we send and provide Petty cash to buy food at no cost to you. Of course if you would like to bring snacks for the day you’re more than welcome!
· Event Pay is based on your age and I can disclose that separately to you at a later date. Pay is based on a 10 hour day (Starting from meet time at the warehouse till end time at the warehouse).
· Events are typically 4 Hours
· Set up is typically forecasted for 3 hours prior the event start time
· Once Crew arrives on site they are required to help with set up, work the actual event, break down the event and then return back to the warehouse to unload the truck back into the warehouse.
