Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive pricing and promotional strategies that align with the company’s broader business objectives and respond to market trends. Your strategies will optimize margins in a unique $475m retail business that operates in 300 attractions and destinations all over the US.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, & inspire a small high-performing team of 2-3 team members that will support and drive the pricing strategy, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth. Establish clear success metrics for each team member.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with senior leadership and business unit teams to ensure pricing decisions are aligned with broader organizational goals and drive sustainable growth in sales and margins.
- Cultural Leadership: Promote a company-wide culture that prioritizes speed, innovation, collaboration, trust, and credibility.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced data analytics to uncover opportunities for margin improvements, pricing adjustments, and overall financial optimization.
- Partnership Management: Engage with key internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure alignment and long-term success of pricing strategies across all functions.
- Innovation and Technology: Leverage emerging technology to ensure Event Network stays competitive. Familiarity with cutting edge AI driven dynamic pricing platforms and advanced analytics suites. Tailor solutions to our unique seasonality and dynamic assortments that are attached to the customer experience
- Financial & Performance Analysis: Lead robust financial modeling and data analysis to evaluate the impact of pricing strategies, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Leadership & Team Building: A proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve shared goals and consistently driving performance and results.
- Pricing Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing strategy, with a deep understanding of pricing principles, methodologies, and best practices across various industries. Experience with tools like Zilliant, PROS, Toolsgroup preferred.
- Analytical Excellence: Strong proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing analytics, with a focus on leveraging insights for strategic decision-making. Experience in attraction retail and/or hospitality a plus.
- Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and translate complex concepts into actionable, results-driven pricing strategies.
