Ideal Candidate
- Must have an active Minnesota LPN license or be able to obtain upon hire.
- Senior Living and/or Long Term Care experience preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents' needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis.
- Provide individualized attention to encourage each resident's ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
- Observe and follow residents' plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring their effectiveness.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
- Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
- Accurately document residents' electronic medical records according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.
- Report resident needs, problems, and observations regarding their condition(s) to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and correct inadequate staffing as needed.
- Monitor the activities and functions of subordinate staff, participating in the disciplinary process as necessary.
- Ensure that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
- Communicate the needs of residents to resident care staff in the unit, as appropriate.
- Interact with physicians and other healthcare facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
- Continually update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
- Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences, communicating information effectively to families.
- Assume responsibility for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents' rights per policy.
- Manage electronic timecards on a daily basis.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive estimated pay range of $24 - $26.16 for Senior Living LPNs per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available, paid on employment status and shift worked.
