Eventide on Eighth is hiring for a Full Time Trained Medication Assistant. Day Shift (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) available includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.
$2 an hour evening shift differential and $2 an hour weekend shift differential added to base wage!

The Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) would assist residents with medication administration under the supervision and guidelines of the Resident Care Manager and Charge Nurse. Assists in providing for the residents’ physical, mental, spiritual, psychological and social needs in accordance with the established nursing care procedures under the supervision and teachings of the Resident Care Manager and Charge Nurse.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant and on the MN Nurse Assistant Registry.
- Must have a current MN TMA Certification.
- Must currently be in good standings on all nursing assistant registries in which you have been placed in the U.S.
- Current CPR/BLS (or its approved equivalency) required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organizes, administers, and documents all oral medications, inhalers, eye drops, eardrops, and oral, rectal, and topical medications given.
- Observes side effects and reports observations to the Charge Nurse.
- Administers medication as needed under the direct guidance and supervision of the Charge Nurse.
- Reports effectiveness concerning the administration of medications under the guidance and supervision of the Charge Nurse.
- Notifies Charge Nurse of changes in residents'/tenants’ conditions.
- Dispenses stock medication to employees only with approval of the Charge Nurse.
- Checks all medications on a routine basis, including expiration dates; supplies and reorders in a timely manner.
- Assists in keeping medication cart clean, including individual drawers, which are to be cleaned on a monthly basis.
- Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
- Assists with all daily living activities of the residents (oral care, hair care, dressing, feeding, bathing, toileting, etc.) to ensure safety, comfort, health, and hygiene as needed.
- Provides activity and exercise as required for each individual resident as needed.
- Assists in providing nutrition and fluids that help meet elimination needs when needed.
- Disposes of medications that have previously been discontinued per prescribing orders, abiding by Eventide’s policy.
- Writes physician orders on medication sheets as directed by the Charge Nurse.
- Adheres to safe lifting procedures, following all associated policies.
- Completes all required in-service sessions and trainings throughout the year.
Compensation
At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive estimated pay range of $23.00 - $25.07 for TMA per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
