Position Summary
The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for delivering profitable revenue, developing a world class sales organization, prioritizing client satisfaction and contributing to the creation of Marquee’s sales methodology. Recruits, trains, and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of sales and profitability goals. Develops and establishes plans and strategies for both B2B and B2C customers to maintain and grow existing base.
Essential Responsibilities
Managing a territory of 12-20 sales professionals responsible for $30M in annual revenues
Extensive experience in live events and the hospitality industry. Preference given to those with familiarity in the assigned market
Developing territory strategy: Creating plans to meet sales targets, developing sales tactics, and setting profit targets
Managing the sales team: recruit, develop, reward, discipline and, when necessary, performance manage the team to achieve goals.
Ensure all data and documents are recorded in accordance with company policy
Motivating the sales team: Ensuring sales representatives meet their goals and are motivated to exceed them
Building customer relationships: Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and delivering customer service
Frequent in field leadership to conduct new business development activities, sales presentations, site visits, event touch points and business reviews.
Analyzing sales data: Analyzing data and reports to drive business growth and revenue
Forecasting: delivering accurate weekly updates on location performance. In addition, the RSD will contribute to the creation of an annual budget that supports company growth targets
Representing the business: Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs, and networking events
Identifying business opportunities: Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
Launching new products: Being involved in the strategic planning and launch of new products or services
Evaluating costs: Evaluating costs to determine pricing for products
